Ariel Guerrero leads the Texas and Denver Region’s Insight team for Avison Young. In his current role, Ariel serves as a strategic partner with Avison Young’s brokerage teams as well as Insight leadership to produce data-driven insights and advise occupier and investor clients across the region.
With over two decades of real estate research experience, his role is essential in leveraging the Insight team’s market knowledge and expertise through business development efforts and enhanced research product offerings and collateral, providing our clients with valuable market analysis, and forecasting that help formulate and execute sound real estate strategies. His professional experience includes market research and demographic analyses, media relations, budgetary development, statistical and data modeling as well as survey development and data acquisition.
Prior to joining Avison Young, Ariel served as Senior Vice President, National Director of Research for a national privately held commercial real estate firm. During his 11-year tenure, he provided oversight and strategic direction for the Research & Data Analytics division, which included expanding the firm’s platform to provide clients with market intelligence reporting in Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth, Atlanta, Washington D.C., Honolulu, and Southern California office locations.
Ariel also led the Research and Client Services division for the Grubb & Ellis field office locations in the Texas region for 10 years, which involved maintaining research data integrity, performing market analysis and the publishing of commercial real estate market reports. In addition, he was involved on the business development side in the preparation of key proposals and presentations for transactional management, institutional and corporate service clients and in the follow-up execution of client assignments. As an integral member of the National Research Client Services Group, he also served as U.S. Research Lead for the Multi Housing, Land and Self Storage Practice Groups.
Ariel has published many industry trend articles, and his analysis and observations have appeared in numerous publications, including Real Estate Forum, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, GlobeSt.com, Houston Business Journal, Houston Chronicle, San Antonio Express News, BisNow, Texas Real Estate Business and RedNews.
