Transportation & warehousing expected to drive the growth of industrial GDP across Greater Philadelphia

Transportation and warehousing GDP in comparison to Manufacturing and Wholesale trade, have witnessed the largest amount of growth since 2017 currently up 16.7%, and projected to increase an additional 9.8% by 2027.

Throughout Greater Philadelphia in 2022, Manufacturing GDP accounted for over 50% of total industrial growth, has increased 8.5% since 2017, and is forecasted to increase an additional 6% by the end of 2027.

In 2022 Wholesale trade accounted for 33% of the industrial GDP growth across Greater Philadelphia, up 3.2% since 2017. Current forecasts project Wholesale trade to grow an additional 4.2% through the end of 2027.
