Long Island Industrial available space steadily decreasing

In Q2 2024, there was 9.47 million square feet (msf) of total available industrial space, the lowest amount since Q4 2022, which had 8.03 msf. This represents a 5.58% quarter-over-quarter decrease, continuing the trend of decreasing available space since Q2 2023.

This quarter also saw a year-over-year decrease of 7.78% in available space. This reduction may be attributed to more companies flocking to Long Island, a market with 131.27 msf of industrial inventory, which is closely-situated to the major urban center of New York City.
