Avison Young bolsters Capital Markets platform in Charlotte, NC

Hal Kempson joins as Principal; focusing on debt & equity investments, and long-term fixed rate financing

Charlotte, NC – Avison Young, a leading global real estate solutions provider, today announces the appointment of Hal Kempson as Principal, Capital Markets. Kempson’s 30 years of experience structuring debt and equity investments throughout the commercial real estate industry will be instrumental to Avison Young’s strategic expansion efforts of its Capital Markets platform throughout the North Carolina area.

Prior to joining Avison Young, Kempson was Managing Director at JLL. He is a seasoned Capital Markets broker with expertise in loan origination, negotiation, and structuring of debt and equity investments. He has facilitated more than $6 billion in financing, including construction, permanent, and mezzanine loans, as well as preferred and joint venture equity. His focus areas include construction, bridge loans, and long-term fixed-rate financing from life companies or agencies.
