702 and 706 E Main Street was built in 1958 and for 34 years was home to the immensely popular Parker’s Restaurant. During the last decade it became JC’s Restaurant, serving soul food, and is currently not operational.

Situated at a key intersection within Downtown Durham East, 706 E Main Street is at the center of a rapidly revitalizing downtown district that is becoming the most dense new residential node in downtown Durham. Over 1,500 new housing units are delivering within a quarter mile of the subject intersection along with an array of new restaurants, bars, breweries and offices.
