Planning approved for up to 128 new homes in Wyre
December 2, 2020The residential development will be delivered in three phases across circa four hectares, located on the site of the former Thornton Cleveleys Football Club.
Avison Young has received full planning approval for 41 new homes and outline consent for a further 87 in Wyre, Lancashire, on behalf of its clients Dickie and Moore Homes and NPL Group.
The residential development will be delivered in three phases across circa four hectares, located on the site of the former Thornton Cleveleys Football Club on Bourne Road.
Phase A will include 41 units and Phase B up to 45 units, both a mixture of two, three and four-bedroom homes. Phase C will see the additional development of up to 42 one and two-bedroom apartments.
The site is the start of an exciting venture between housebuilders Dickie and Moore and brownfield regeneration company, NPL, having formed a joint venture company to deliver high quality new homes across the North of England.
Joseph Smith, planner at Avison Young, said: “Receiving planning permission for this development, sitting in an already prominently residential area within close proximity of Thornton Cleveleys town centre is a significant milestone. We worked closely with Wyre Council to develop the site plan which will bring much-needed homes to the area.”
John Dickie, managing director of Dickie and Moore Homes, said: “We are delighted to have worked with Avison Young and NPL to secure this planning consent. The mixture of detached, semi-detached and terrace homes will offer something for all sizes of families or individuals in this popular part of Thornton Cleveleys. The layout provides significant open space enhancing the amenity for all new homeowners.”
Simon Towers, managing director of NPL, said: "I would like to thank Thornton-Cleveleys FC for its support in this development and we look forward to welcoming the team to their new long term home at Poolfoot Farm. With the housebuilding expertise of Dickie and Moore and NPL’s extensive landbank, there will be further announcements on other projects moving forward."
The architect on the scheme is LMA Architects. Construction is due to commence March 2021.
